Side Effects of WaterLipo

Like any other liposuction procedure, patients who have undergone WaterLipo may experience some side effects. However, since it’s a minimally invasive procedure, side effects are reduced.
 
            Side effects WaterLipo patients usually experience are minimal pain, soreness, bruising or numbness of the treated area. These effects can be felt immediately after the procedure and may last for hour to a few days but will resolve in time. But if these side effects last for weeks, it will be best to schedule an appointment with a doctor.
 
            Side effects are particularly more severe if a patient is not a good candidate for WaterLipo or if he/she is suffering from an existing health condition or under blood-thinning medications. Side effects would worsen if pre- and after-care instructions were not followed.​

What are the risks of WaterLipo?

WaterLipo is a novel   procedure which was introduced to reduce or overall avoid the potential risks associated with the existing liposuction techniques available. Therefore, the risks involved with this WaterLipo are significantly minimal compared to other procedures.
 
            Potential risks include:
            - Skin or contour irregularities known as rippling.
            - Seroma or fluid accumulation at the treated site.
            - Hematoma or the accumulation of blood vessels which may clot.
            - Infection of the treatment area.
            - Swelling, bleeding or tenderness.
