Side Effects of Coolsculpting

Using a non-invasive technology, CoolSculpting have very minimal side effects compared to other fat-removal techniques.
            During the procedure, sensations of pinching, pulling, tingling, aching, cramping and intense cold may be experienced. Immediately after the CoolSculpting procedure, tingling, stinging, mild bruising and firmness of the treated area can be felt. However, these side effects are temporary and could resolve after a few hours. Bruising, redness or swelling may last for weeks, but will completely resolve in time. Weeks after the treatment, aching, cramping numbness or sensitivity of the treated area can be experienced. For side effects that last for many weeks, consult your doctor.

What are the risks of CoolSculpting?

While CoolSculpting is considered to be generally safe, some risks are associated with this treatment including:
            - Hyperpigmentation of treated area
            - Freeze burn or mild frostbite (damage caused by freezing temperature to skin tissues)
            - Hardness or development of nodules to the treatment area
            - Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia or enlargement of remaining fat cells in the treatment area
            - Formation of new or exacerbation of existing hernia
            - Occurrence of pain several days after the treatment
            - Dizziness, nausea, sweating, or flushing during or after treatmen

Is the CoolSculpting procedure effective?

It WORKS! And there’s science behind CoolSculpting – it was approved by FDA anyway.
            Dieter Manstein, MD and R. Rox Anderson, MD have observed that children who ate popsicles develop dimples in their cheeks and subsequently realized that a freezing temperature could eliminate fat cells. The observation that cold can eliminate fat cells was the basic principle behind Cryolipolysis, a cutting-edge cooling technology where CoolSculpting was based.
            Among other non-invasive treatment to reduce fat cells, cryolypolisis was the most studied in both animal and human subjects. Around 20-25% fat reduction was observed after first treatment whereas 86% of subjects who have undergone the procedure experienced improvements.
