What is the SmartLipo Technique

The SmartLipo technique is designed to eliminate excessive body fats with less pain and faster recovery time. Generally performed under local anaesthesia, this procedure is completed while the patient is awake.  A small incision is made to the skin where a cannula (thin tube) holding the laser is inserted into the skin. The laser beam then ruptures and liquefies the fat cells. The liquefied fat would further be mildly suctioned or drained out. After the procedure, patients are encouraged to wear a compression garment for better recovery. Unlike the traditional liposuction technique, SmartLipo leaves no post-operational marks and scars. Instead, the procedure would make the skin firmer and smoother.
