Completed while the patient is conscious, this technique ensures no pain during the procedure, limits bleeding, and avoids the risks of general anaesthesia. The treatment area is numbed with a low concentration anaesthetic solution. Subsequently, the fat is removed through small incisions in the skin. The amount of fat removed is determined by constantly evaluating the area. Following the procedure, an absorbent pad is placed over the small skin incisions and a pressure garment is worn for several days after.
